What I love most about design is that you can take an idea from your brain, and by following the design process you can bring this into reality! This is what drove me to change careers and leap into product design. I have a passion for design that considers human factors whilst balancing its sustainability and manufacturability. I have aimed to achieve this balance in my project of a pruning/snipping multi-tool for the average domestic gardener in Australia. The tool was developed to adhere to the well-known and established brand language of Cyclone tools.

I have really enjoyed working on the CASCADE drinking fountain design with my client SPARK Furniture. Human Centred Design and Sustainability are two passions of mine, and it was important to be able to integrate these passions into this project.

The exploration of multiple materials to reduce the environmental impact and having the courage to challenge 30+ year old standards have been great learning that I will carry with me the rest of my career. I welcome any questions you may have regarding my project and to working with you as colleagues and clients. Thank you for reading.

CASCADE - An adaptable drinking fountain concept with sustainability, longevity and human centred design as its core considerations. The strategic use of stainless steel, mild steel and Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) assisted in keeping the environmental impact of this design to a minimum.
