Hi, I’m Glen Perera. My passion for design in automotive, aerospace and consumer electronics led me to pursue my Masters in Industrial Design. As someone with a background in mechanical engineering, I appreciate the practicality of design in solving real world problems. Industrial design allows me to blend my creative instincts with technical knowledge.
Designing automobiles fascinates me. It’s the perfect canvas to showcase innovation and aesthetics. Hence my Masters program projects focus mainly on micro-mobility solutions for the future such as rideshare e-scooters.
BEAM Mobility Project 2023 - The research study focused on redesigning rideshare E-scooters specifically for commercial purposes. This aims to reduce rideshare costs and promote e-scooter usage over private vehicles.
