Bio

I'm Jared Garfoot, a passionate third-year product design student with a deep love for timber furniture. From my earliest memories of watching my Popa's skilled craftsmanship on the lathe, I have been captivated by the artistry and beauty of working with timber.

Currently, I work at Pfitzner Furniture, a South Australian-owned custom furniture store, where I consult with customers. Collaborating closely with clients, I use my design experience and timber knowledge to transform their visions into unique and personalised furniture pieces.

Alongside my work, I am increasingly drawn to systemic design and its potential for positive impact. I aspire to deepen my knowledge in this field, exploring how design can address wicked problems and contribute to sustainable, socially responsible solutions.

As a dedicated student, I actively seek opportunities to grow and learn. Through hands-on experiences, industry engagement, and continuous education.
