After a career in the ICT industry, I returned to university, to explore a passion for physical product design, drawing anda thirst for creative endeavours. In this concluding project, the aim was to develop a garden rotary cutting tool, for an established brand Cyclone, their first foray into electronic products. After research, user studies, it was clear that this needed to blend new and familiar, as such the design bridges the long history, whilst injecting technology as a differentiating factor into the market, attempting to embody positivity, fun, reassurance, and comfort into the experience for the user.
